Alternative payment option?

Is there any plan to support paypal as a payment option or google pay?

Hi freizhang,

Currently I use Stripe as my payment processor. I like paypal as a user, and i’m sure google is good too but, right now , it’s hard to justify the significant additional work and maintenance complexity to add those (I’d have to push back new features)

Is there a specific feature or reason that you want these other payment options for?

Thanks for your reply, my major concern is the credit card safety, and minimize it’s exposure chance. And multiple payment options could also engage more paid user. But well, I’ll make an exception this time :slight_smile: Thanks for making kinopio.

re credit card safety, I never see or save your credit card info (nor do I want to), it’s passed directly to Stripe (just as it would be passed to paypal etc.). In the case of Stripe, they’re an older well-established service used by amazon, and a bunch of other really big companies so their security practices are pretty good
